I know, I know….everyone is going green, it’s the in thing isn’t it? For once I don’t mind jumping on a bandwagon and following a trend. Going green is a very good thing and even a small effort on everyone’s part is helpful.

I know…Debbie Downer here announcing what we all know, that summer is coming to a close. Here in Central Alberta summer has not been all that great - I don’t love hot weather but I have to admit we could have used a few more hot sunny days! With a weird spring and a faux summer, it is hard to predict what fall will bring weather wise.
One thing I do know is that fall will bring all of YOU into our store to start your winter rennovation projects - this is very exciting! With the flowers not needing to be pruned and the grass not needing to be trimmed, what will you do with all of your spare time? In between shuttling the kids to sports events, dance, piano and school of course!!
Winter renovation projects are the best thing to get our minds off the foul weather and give us a new space to inhabit during those cold dark months. Paint a room a vivid shade, put in sparkling hardwood or glowing tile. Consider sprucing up a room with new furniture or carpet for that ‘new car’ smell in your home.

I have had the opportunity to visit her at home and take pictures and measurements for the big makeover which should take place some time in September. Lisa has chosen her living room which is a complete blank slate just waiting for someone to come in and put some designer touches into it! It is going to be alot of fun and our entire company is on board to help with the project - from office staff to our installation teams.

When I say there is nothing in this room, it literally has a fish tank which is empty and a pail in one corner. The before and after pictures are going to be spectacular!!

The staircases in our homes are truly an unsung hero. They get more than your average share of pounding, get stepped on and mistreated. Stairs are used as a place to sit, store books and clothing and can even be a great source of entertainment for children. Carpeted stairs + Crazy carpet = summertime tobaggan hill but don’t tell your kids I said so ;). Despite the abuse we give them our staircases are faithful, always delivering us from one level of our house to another and rarely do they complain.
